My mother (of blessed memory) made the best fudge in the Universe.  Here is her recipe:

2/3 cup of Evaporated milk

1+1/3 cup of sugar

¼ stick of (real) butter

¼ teaspoon of salt

1+1/4 cup of mini-marshmallows

12oz (1+1/2 bags) of “Nestle’” chocolate chips

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup of Walnuts

Mix together the first 5 ingredients over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, and allow to boil for 5 minutes. Next, add 12oz (1+1/2 bag of “good” chocolate chips) and mix well. Then add a 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1 cup of walnuts. Mix well, pour into a pan. Then you let it cool and cut into pieces. Amazing!
