The extreme weather meant that I had dodged another bullet.

No way could the snowplows make it this far north by 9:00 am. There was at least eleven feet of that beautiful white shit!

Bonus: more of it was coming down and the power was out.

I’ve always disliked weddings, particularly my own. How silly of me to keep getting myself engaged then, right?

Not so much, really.

It was the thrill of the chase; and then… the thrill of escape.

That’s what had me hooked.

The young lady would eventually get over it.

The others always did.

Didn’t they?
